PENALTY FOR DELINQUENT RENDITION - 2004/2005 CAD SURVEY Montgomery Central Appraisal District Operations Data Owners of business personal property are required to render annually by April 15. The Texas property tax code provides for a 10% penalty for filing a business personal property tax rendition later than April 15th or for failing to render. The following is a summary of which counties charge a penalty and the number of accounts rendered in each county after April 15. Most large appraisal districts are imposing the penalty for not timely filing renditions. Montgomery Central Appraisal District was enforcing the penalty for renditions when this data was compiled. The summary also indicates whether the county or the appraisal district collects the penalty.
